Zirconia is highly aesthetic
Zirconia is highly translucent especially when compared to traditional metal substructures and can be customized according to the 16 classic Vita shades. Zirconia restorations also solve the ‘black gum line’ problem inherent with traditional metal restorations which occurs when the gingiva recedes. These qualities of zirconia provide natural looking restorations which are indistinguishable from real teeth.

Often referred to as ‘white steel’, zirconia is just as strong if not stronger than metal restorations and has a high fracture resistance.

At Vitality Milling Center, we are an authorized BruxZir milling lab. BruxZir Zirconia is a full contoured, solid zirconia crown or bridge restoration with no porcelain overlay. Full contour Zirconia restorations are both a strong and highly aesthetic alternative to metal occlusal PFM and full-cast metal restorations. Virtually unbreakable and chip-proof, BruxZir Zirconia crowns and bridges are the ideal restoration for posterior molar crowns when the patient desires a tooth colored restoration but lacks the preparation space for, or has broken a PFM crown in the past.

IPS Emax

IPS e.max® is an affordable alternative to PFMs for crowns and bridges. This metal-free restoration provides optimum esthetics using lithium disilicate ceramic and boasts a flexural strength of 360 MPa. Depending on your preparation, we will either choose to press or mill IPS e.max.

Custom Hybrid Implant Abutments
Our Custom Hybrid Implant Solution combines the strength and precise fit of a titanium interface with the aesthetic advantages of shaded zirconia. The close-tolerance machined titanium interface provides an accurate fitting surface with the implant and titanium retaining screw as well as the necessary metal-to-metal connection between the screw and implant. There is no compromise on the standard recommendation for torque pressure on the scvrew and abutment since the screw does not torque directly into the zirconia material thus eliminating any potential fracturing of the abutment. The zirconia abutment is milled from Zirconia and then cemented to the titanium interface resulting in a restoration that is both exceptionally strong and aesthetically pleasing.
